Synopsis
Camila (2026) is a Brazilian psychological drama short film written and directed by Anthony Candido. The film explores the aftermath of trauma and the transformative nature of the creative process through an intimate, psychologically driven narrative. The story follows Clarice, a writer struggling with a debilitating creative block who moves into an isolated apartment in search of a fresh start. Cut off from the outside world, she is left with no choice but to confront emotions and memories she cannot fully understand herself. As the boundaries between reality, memory, and imagination begin to dissolve, the enigmatic figure of Camila (?) emerges as a guide through Clarice’s inner descent, while the unsettling presence of a supposed neighbor slowly turns the apartment into a space of growing unease.
